Autodesk Inventor LT software allows you to adopt 3D mechanical part design - at the pace that's right for you. When you design using 3D models of parts, you can increase your productivity, reduce the risk of errors, and improve communication with customers and partners. Autodesk Inventor LT is also sold as part of the AutoCAD Inventor LT Suite, which includes AutoCAD LT software. By turning to Inventor LT, you get many of the capabilities found in Autodesk Inventor software, including part-level 3D modelling, multi-CAD translation and automated DWG drawing views. Interoperability with AutoCAD LT lets you continue to work with real DWG data.

Gain an alternate modeling approach use Freeform tools and direct manipulation to explore and create freeform-shaped models.

Use flexible freeform toolsin combination with parametric tools, or used alone to create organic shapes where parametric tools are unavailable or difficult to use. For example:

  • Start with an existing design created with parametric modeling tools, then add freeform into the design.

Please make sure that you are installing the appropriate version of Autodesk® Inventor® software for your operating system. Inventor provides separate installers for 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. Note that a 64-bit version of Inventor cannot be installed on a 32-bit system and vice versa.

Notes:

    1. Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault must both be the same language on a given computer. English versions of these applications will run on any language operating system. Other language versions of these applications will run on operating systems of that same language.
    2. Inventor LT 2017 will be the last major version of Inventor LT that will be supported on the Windows 7 32-bit operating system. Future versions of Inventor LT will support 64-bit operating systems only. The user experience for Inventor LT is superior on 64-bit systems because they offer more memory capacity and better overall performance.
    3. Autodesk Inventor LT 2017 is optimized to take advantage of the SSE2 extended instruction sets supported on Pentium 4, AMD Athlon 64, and AMD Opteron processors. Inventor LT 2017 will not install on computers that do not support SSE2. Several utilities are available on the Internet that report CPUID including supported instructions sets.
    4. Autodesk recommends settings which allow Microsoft Windows to manage virtual memory as needed. There should always be at least twice as much free hard disk space as system memory (RAM).
    5. DVD-ROM drive is not required if installing from USB or software download.
    6. The multimedia learning components of the Inventor Help system, such as the UI Video Tour, Command Reference, and Show Me animations, require Adobe Flash Player 10. If it is not already installed, you can download it from the Adobe website.
